How media report on youngsters, yellow press and media ethics, what traditional media could learn from “young media,” and how YouTubers in the Balkans deal with media freedom and their responsibilities as digital content creators were some of the core topics at the 2018 BRAVE NEW MEDIA FORUM. 

The two-day event on October 30-31, 2018, at the Duško Radović Children’s Theater was, once again, organized jointly with OSCE Mission to Serbia. It welcomed dozens of media representatives from the West Balkan, but also Germany, The Netherlands, and Moldova. 

YouthVibes, Karike, Abraziv, Srednja.hr, Hexatorm, Fakulteti.mk, and many other outlets for young audiences presented their successful projects. Some BNMF guests participated in panel discussions and addressed issues such as minors becoming victims of boulevard media and how to make new media viable.
